To intentionally organise ourselves as a mission agency will require us to make some changes in the way we see things, think and act. At this Synod we heard about the partnership in mission between the Anglican Churches in Widcombe and the story of how Holy Trinity Combe Down planted a congregation into St Matthews under the leadership of Tim Buckley. We also reflected further on the challenge we face as we seek to see hundreds of people become disciples and our whole city transformed in response to an amazing testimony from a young man called Josh from Twerton. To help us move forward together Richard outlined the idea of a number of ‘Task Groups’ commissioned to discern ways around specific barriers to growth. Geoff Weekes spoke about the work he and a wide team have started to develop a new approach to discipling elderly people across the city and responding to their needs in compassion.
